Following the devastation of Japan’s recent catastrophic earthquake, tsunami and nuclear disaster the students and staff of the photography department at Barking & Dagenham College are setting up a print sale to raise money for those affected by this tragic event.
Please watch this space for details of how you can make a small donation to the British Red Cross Japan Tsunami Appeal via the Barking & Dagenham College photography department and receive a signed photographic print by one of tomorrow’s image makers.
ALL proceeds will go towards this charity appeal via the Red Cross.

2011 ACES Diamond Ball Awards
Many congratulations to Nadine Attzs (FdA Photography, Yr.2) who has been awarded the ‘Extra Curricular Award 2011’.
Nadine was nominated by her Programme Leader and selected by ACES Diamond Ball Judges for her achievement and progression from a BTEC National Diploma to her current studies on the FdA Photography course. Nadine also organised and curated her first solo exhibition ‘Self’ at Chat’s Palace, London in 2009. This award is a testament to her commitment and dedication towards her developing photographic practice.
In 2010, Nadine won the ‘Higher Education Award’ at Barking & Dagenham College’s Excellence Awards, at the Broadway Theatre, Barking.
Nadine will collect this prestigious award at the 2011 Diamond Ball Awards on Friday 1st April 2011 at Central Hall Westminster, London.
