Matter Magazine is the start of a new magazine culture that seeks to help us define the anthropological affects of technology through the tactile medium and allure of print.” – Prote.in
After the success of its first issue, Modern Matter (formerly Matter magazine) releases its Spring/Summer 2012 edition, featuring works by Juergen Teller, Hans Ulrich Obrist, John Baldessari, and a number of other culturally respected and visionary contributors.
Published by OMO Creates, the studio behind the acclaimed arts and culture magazine Kilimanjaro, Modern Matter is a men’s magazine which takes a uniquely modern approach to the way in which technology combines both with style, and with the arts, with a curatorial approach to both design and content.
Designed to appeal to a consumer eager to tap into an ever-changing and increasingly technological world, Modern Matter’s second issue is covered by photographer Juergen Teller, who has taken a series of personal and exclusive portraits documenting his football fanaticism.
In addition, issue two features:
An exclusive cover-shoot by JUERGEN TELLER.
A conversation between HANS ULRICH OBRIST and DIMITAR SASSELOV about art and astronomy.
JOHN BALDESSARI on his magazine addiction.
An issue-wide exploration of the NET GENERATION.
DAVID KARP on success, memetics and the politics of Tumblr.
Over 50 pages of menswear fashion featuring global brands including
YVES SAINT LAURENT, DIOR HOMME, RAF SIMONS & more.
Issue Two of Modern Matter magazine is 230 pages and retails at £8.00.
