Photographer Kevin Westenberg is famed for his creation of provocative and electrifying images of world-class musicians, artists and movie stars for over 25 years. His technique of lighting, colour and composition has helped to produce his own unique visual style.

Shortly after receiving an Architecture degree he moved to London where he has been based since 1983. Kevin is self-taught and learned his trade working for the UK publications New Musical Express and Melody Maker mainly in the late 80’s and 90’s documenting, among others, the UK ‘Britpop’ bands.

His breakthrough came in 1993-1994 with the release of album covers for Sting’s Ten Summoner’s Tales and Mary J Blige’s Share My World. For the last 25 years, he has photographed such musical greats as B.B. King, Radiohead, Thom Yorke, White Stripes, Jane’s Addiction, Bjork, Nirvana, Jeff Buckley, Luther Vandross, Nine Inch Nails, Stone Roses, The Pixies, Rufus Wainwright, Michael Stipe, U2, R.E.M, Black Sabbath, The Rolling Stones, Oasis, Tom Jones, Soundgarden, Bon Jovi and Coldplay. His work has appeared on hundreds of album, single, magazine and book covers published all over the world.

Kevin has worked on assignment for publications includings Rolling Stone, Spin, Q, Time Out, Vogue, Esquire, New York Times Magazine, Telegraph and Observer Magazines and Interview. Since 1998 he has been a staff photographer at MOJO Magazine producing many covers and features. In 2012, Kevin expects to show his work in four exhibitions including his first major global museum show in Kobe, Japan.
